1 pound extra lean ground turkey
3 slices Canadian bacon, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup fat free cheddar cheese (For Milk Free option use cheddar flavored Veggie Shreds)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
4 Whole wheat or gluten-free hamburger buns

Directions:

*Preheat broiler to low setting.
1. In a small skillet, cook Canadian bacon pieces until brown.  Set aside to cool.  
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, cheese (or Cheddar Veggie Shreds), Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.  Mix all ingredients together.  
3. Add Canadian bacon pieces when cool.
4. Divide turkey mixture into six equal amounts and shape into hamburger patties.  
5. Spray a broiler pan with non-stick spray (if you don’t have a broiler pan, a cookie sheet with a wire rack will do just fine.  Just line the cookie sheet with foil so nothing burns to your pan).  
6. Place patties on wire rack.  Broil about 5 min on each side on top oven rack.   (Grilling these burgers would also work well.)
 
Yields 6 turkey burgers, serving size 1 burger
