old fashioned donuts

Ingredients:

1 1/3 c Gluten-free pancake & Waffle mix (I use Maple Grove Farms)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c + 1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 c Rice Dreams Vanilla milk (or your favorite milk)
1/4 c egg beaters (or 1 large egg)
1/8 c unsweetened applesauce
1/8 c ripe banana, mashed (about 1/4 a small banana)
Glaze topping:
5 tbsp powdered sugar
2 1/2 tsp Rice Dreams Vanilla milk (or your favorite milk)
Splash of pure vanilla extract

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
3. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients and both sugars. Mix until well combined.
4. Stir in milk and egg beaters.
5. Fold in banana and applesauce. Combine well. 
6. Spoon mixture into sprayed donut pan.  Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack. 
8. While donuts are cooling mix together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. When donuts are cool brush each donut with 2 coats of powdered sugar glaze.
 
Yields 10 donuts, serving size 1 donut
